My daughter is an art student focusing in graphic design. I bought this for her because I thought she would really enjoy instantly transferring her drawings to the computer. We had a lot of fun playing with this. This is very easy to set up – basically you just plug it into your computer via USB port. It instantly and seamlessly integrated with Photoshop.
Your Photoshop tools allow you to select what you want to do. For example, if you want to erase, simply select the eraser tool and erase the screen either using your mouse or the drawing pen. When you want to draw again, select the paint tool. To change the thickness or clarity of your brush, you select these in photoshop too. This was super easy to use since we are familiar with Photoshop.
If you aren’t familiar with Photoshop, I would recommend researching which other software programs will work with this tablet to see if this is something that will be a good fit for not only your current software but with your proficiency in using that software. We found the tablet intuitive, quite responsive and well designed for its purpose. A nice feature of this tablet is that a light is shown on your screen to indicate where you are on the virtual paper. This was essential for making the switch from real drawing to virtual drawing much easier. This was an excellent buy – we are really happy with this well designed product.
