This stainless steel cocktail set by Optimum Bar is one of the nicer ones I’ve seen. I’ve reviewed a number of these over the past year and I’ve found that many are lightweight. Often, the pieces don’t seal well when put together. Not so with this one. Buying these types of things online is always a challenge because two items can look identical in a photo but be very different in real life. This is a set I’d be happy with when I opened the box.
This set includes a 750 ml shaker, a jigger (which measures a single shot on one side and a double shot on the other) and a bar blade that acts as a bottle opener. The shaker has a built in strainer in the top so that you keep ice out of your drink when you pour it into your glass.
The set also includes a nicely made mini recipe booklet.
All items are made of durable, high quality stainless steel. This means that they will never rust and can be thrown in the dishwasher without worry or concern. The lid seals very tightly to the shaker container. There should be no problems at all with leakage.
The jigger is especially attractive in this set. It’s quite a bit nicer than others I’ve seen. It has a sleek, modern design that just looks plain cool.
The bar blade has a similar impact. I like the inclusion of the bar blade in this set; they often aren’t included.
The recipe booklet is a great addition and really completes this set in a nice way. The quality of the paper as well as the design is nicely done.
The set comes in a decent box that slides open. This being said, this cocktail set is so much nicer than the packaging would suggest.
The manufacturer should use a thicker weight box and implement a more modern and sophisticated design to highlight this really nice bar set. With nicer packaging, this set would be perfect. If you are giving this product as a gift, it is still presentable enough. If buying for yourself, the box won’t matter at all.
I would definitely recommend this cocktail set. It stands out amongst several others I have recently reviewed. It also comes with a lifetime guarantee. This is a solid set that will provide many decades of service.
