This is by far my favorite cat brush. I have a long haired cat and she sheds like crazy. For this reason, I’ve tried almost every cat brush that’s ever been made. Cat hair is a constant battle in my life. I brush my cat regularly in order to control the problem. For this reason, I have a very large collection of cat brushes of every kind. Very consistently, the ones with the skinny pin sized metal needles (or teeth) will work best for my cat’s long hair. So when I saw how fat the teeth were on this comb, I didn’t think that this was going to work. However, the package claims that this comb will reduce shedding by up to 90%, so I decided to try it out. Anything that helps control the fluffy white hairs floating through the air makes me very happy. This product delivers.
Here are the highlights from my tests:
1. It removes hair amazingly well. I think I removed the equivalent of a good sized kitten (in cat hair) from my cat in under 5 minutes.
2. My cat likes getting brushed with this comb. My cat is from the ragdoll breed, so she’s a really laid back cat. She will tolerate most brushes, but there are some she likes better than others. You can tell because she will either look annoyed and try to get away, or she will purr and turn over on her back wanting more. As you can see from the photos, she wanted more.
3. It is really easy to clean the hair out of it. My other brushes that have the tiny pin sized teeth are really not difficult to clean but they can irritate your fingers when you have to reach between the teeth to clean it out. With this comb, the hair just comes right off.
4. After brushing with this product, my cat’s fur felt amazing. She felt so silky and smooth.
This product works better for removing hair than anything else I’ve tried. I think it is the shape or edging of the blades that make this product work. This comb does come with a plastic cover to preserve the edges of the blades when you aren’t using it. I have found my new favorite cat brush. This product is sturdy, well made, well designed, and it works amazingly well. If you are looking for a solution to cat hair all over your house, I give this product my highest recommendation.
